Yellow House no longer yellow...
Rugby Teams sweep through
Cleanup Event

Saturday, April 7th, 2007
Project taskmaster Randy Dittmann gathered some of the Toughest Tulsans together on Saturday to begin the first rough cleanup of the community's new office building.  Rugby teams from the University of Tulsa, Tulsa Rugby Team, Bixby Rugby Team and Jenks Rugby Team joined some of the Southwest Tulsa Chamber members in removing all of the insides of the main house and three adjoining properties.  They removed items, wall paneling, carpets, siding, and yes... even the kitchen sink.  Sandy Dittmann was observed hauling the sink across the yard to the dump pile.

Randy and Sandy provided hot dogs for about 60 hungry workers, courtesy of Cedar Rock Inn.  We accomplished some major steps toward our goal of having an office complex in the old yellow house.  Thanks to everyone involved!

Yellow House Cleanup Event
Saturday, April 7th, 2007

On Saturday, April 7th members of the Tulsa Rugby Club and several area leaders will gather at 3820 Southwest Boulevard, the "Yellow House" in which several organizations will house their offices including Southwest Tulsa Chamber of Commerce. This will be the kick off date in the restoration and repairs of this wonderful house. There is a need of dumpsters on site and volunteers. If anyone could lend a dumpster or volunteer contact Randy Dittman at  randy@ameagletitle.com

2007 CHAMBER DINNER MEETING A SUCCESS!
Southwest Tulsa Chamber of Commerce's annual dinner was a great success this year. Approximately 70 were in attendance. Richard Ryan presented the Chamber with a Plan of Works and Budget for 2007. Our guest speaker, Sharon King Davis gave a uplifting speech in which she urged all to be proud Oklahomans, proud Tulsans and proud to be part of West Tulsa. Laughter rang out when she mentioned that Gene Griffith (local undertaker) approached her and said "I came here just for you." We would like to give a special thanks to this years dinner committee members Judy Ryan and Jeanie Cue. We look forward to next years dinner which we know will be even more successful
